Really solid service and food but the highlight was the drink selection. The Summer Dream cocktail with yuzu and passionfruit, and the Japanese gin & tonic were really smooth and sweet with no weird aftertaste. First time trying bao buns, I had the pork belly and it was beautiful. Karaage chicken wasn’t the absolute best I’ve had but it was still great and their sauce with it was incredible- so sweet but not overpowering. It would be better if they did normal fries- the sweet potato fries were a bit plain and needed more seasoning. Overall, what they do well, they do REALLY well. I’ll be back to try the spring rolls and more drinks!

Delicious food, cocktails and good service. Great decor and ambience. Highly recommend you try the Lamb Ribs, Pork Belly, Korean Fried Chicken, Prawn Taco and Sweet Potato fries....and the Ginger Bruleé. Yum!

A modern bar and restaurant serving Korean influenced food, cocktails and local beer and wines. It's a renovated space that respects it's history as a glass shop (windows, mirrors etc.). Particularly enjoyed the pork belly bao and lamb ribs! Dirty G&T was great. Cherry Negroni - not so much.

Always have the best time at Roy’s. From the delightful staff, awesome food and the great cocktail list! Always recommended to visit if in Ballarat! Wish they would open in Melbourne city

Went into the bar at 8.25 for a cocktail and bao bun. Greeted with ‘Kitchen is closed’ when we said we wanted to stay for a cocktail the waitress appeared very disappointed .. she mentioned that they closed in 25mins. We ordered our drinks after waiting 15mins… and then another 10min wait for them to arrive. We were the only customers with 6 staff (and one seated with a friend ‘at’ the bar) I do admit I expected prompt service from the surly and obviously exhausted waitress. But, it was slower than the gin! My cocktail ‘Roy Fairy’ was unpalatable, so I left it almost untouched. No comment by the staff who collected it, and goodbye to $25. I don’t think I will venture back there… the polish. And warmth of this place is definitely gone!!!

Even if this place didn’t have delicious food (which it does) and a great environment I would still seriously rate it just on their staff alone. They were super friendly and accommodating. Went above and beyond. This on top of great food, make this place one of my favourites in Ballarat.

What a little surprise this gem was! Had a recommendation as they have a number of gluten free dishes on the menu. The bulgogi tacos were some of the best tacos we have ever had. Very fresh and the soft corn tacos did not break apart. The lamb ribs fell straight off the bone ans had a nice little spice kick to them (if you don't like spice maybe see if they can do them without the sauce and chilli). Decent selection of beers, a cider and a ginger beer on tap. I opted for a cocktail special for the Begonia festival and it was dressed to impress!
